A classic holiday flavor, this peppermint mocha steamer is all natural and will surely satisfy. Kid approved!
Tis the Season for Peppermint Mocha
Everyone loves this flavor combo. It’s one of those seasonal things like Cranberries and eggnog. I love a good Peppermint Mocha, as in the coffee kind. But we also enjoy sans coffee for a sweet treat. Plus then the kids can have it too! Every Sunday night we have a family meeting. This is a time that we get together and just discuss the week ahead, how things are going, and just hang out and talk, and play games. At these meetings, we always have snacks, and we call it our dinner. I also like to make a fun beverage. So we’ll have either Italian Sodas, or Steamers.
I know that peppermint mocha is not an original idea, but like I said, this time of year, we just crave it. This is so easy to make, and aside from the crushed peppermints on top, it’s all natural. Therefore I feel good about giving it
to my kids. I know exactly what goes in it. I start with my homemade chocolate mix, and add milk (which don’t forget is loaded with protein) and peppermint extract.
Heat the milk first, then whisk in the chocolate mix and the peppermint extract. See? Easy peasy!
Top it off with some whipped cream, and you’re good to go. Really, who would not want to come to the table for that?
Okay, so my kids are still at the age where they come to the table, cuz I said. They still think their ‘rents’ are cool. But a little enticing never hurst, right?
