Our family is into traditions. My kids absolutely love having traditions. I have to be careful, because if I do something special, one time, they automatically think we're going to do it every year, or month or whatever. 🙂

In the summer, we do Ice Cream Sundays. Yes, I meant to spell Sunday just like that. Every Sunday, we have ice cream, usually home made.

On the fall and winter Sundays, we either have Italian Soda's or Steamers. It really depends on the weather, if it's a warm day, Italian Sodas, if it's a chilly day, steamers. This gingersnap steamer is loved by all my kids. Although we make lots of flavors, this is a great holiday one.

Guilt Free!

The best part about this gingersnap steamer? It's good for you!! This is home made with real spices and milk! No sugary syrup here folks, no siree. So, your family will love this, and you can feel good about giving to them! Remember, it's not just for kids. I think its fun to serve up something unexpected every once in a while. So maybe whip up a batch of these at your next holiday party, or when you have company. Tis' the season!

So, I mentioned it tastes awesome, right? Just like a good old fashioned gingersnap cookie. (And if you like cookies without the guilt, see this recipe!) Also, it's really easy to whip up. All you need is milk, ground cloves, ground ginger, ground cinnamon, molasses and honey. And, some whip cream to top it off. You may even already have this in your house. I like to buy heavy cream and whip it myself, but, your choice.

Pour the milk into a saucepan to gently heat it.

Warm milk in a pan with spices whisked in.

Heat the milk at a medium-low temp, just until it's hot, not boiling.

At this point, pour it into a blender and blend on high for about 30 seconds or so. This isn't completely necessary, but it will get those spices nice and mixed in well.
